Two shows. Friday July 22 in Albany NY and July 23 in Brooklyn NY. These shows are record releases. Aficionado will have their new LP/CD from No Sleep Records and we’ll have our new single from Deathwish Inc … and the Hex EP we never properly celebrated AND the Disposable Culture EP we never had a record release for AND the Alliance Trax split with Segwei AND quite possibly the new single on Cumhard420 Records. That’s a lot of record releasin’.
Aficionado have been our friends for years and, even when their music wasn’t that good, we’ve supported each other. Their new record is legitimately good and I don’t have to lie to people anymore.
Nightmares For a Week is the darling of punknews.org and the sites that take cues from it. People loved the shit out of their album on Academy Fight Song Records last year. Replacements + Jawbreaker + 90s alt rock.
Form & File is a blend of Hot Water Music and the Ebbulition Records catalog. You get it right away but then it gets weird sometimes and you say, “yo, what the fuck is this?” but then you sort of appreciate that they did that. Don’t know if I’m supposed to mention this, but it features Ryan Briggs of Have Heart fame.
Orphan Legs is the one-man show from our longtime friend, Mike Tash. Him and a guitar. He’s an emotional man, man.
Valentines is located at 17 New Scotland Ave in Albany. Pine Box Rock Shop is located 12 Gratten St in Brooklyn (Montrose stop on the L Train). We kept the price of the Albany show cheap as hell and decided to make the Brooklyn show free as a test: will you support bands by buying shit when you have no excuse not to? Or will you be a low worm?
